Males do not start out as 'female' in the womb they start out with cloacas and tails like birds which both start differring in the 8th week (as a layman explanation). Isn't evolution cool.

Males and females could both be pooping, egging (gameting(?)), and peeing outside of the same superficially identical hole if mammalian natural selection was different. You would still be a man or a woman with the unicloaca though because you would have balls or ova or an associated dimorphic physical system with it to reproduce

I've heard it being put like this: the development we go through in the womb mimicks the evolution we went through as a species.
