Male birds don’t do their courtship rituals for other male birds, afaik, so yes they know what “female” means. Congrats on being less intelligent than a bird, I guess?

Actually plenty of them do, but that’s because there is loads of same-sex sexual behaviour in birds (as in mammals and reptiles), not because the males don’t know what a male or female is.

I'll never understand the woke folx social media mob tendency to conflate one thing they think is bad with ALL THE BAD THINGS. The idea of sex isn't just transphobic--it's imperialist, colonialist, white, racist, misogynist, capitalist, patriarchal, Christian, and hegemonic.

On that note, I'm sure I could ask a parrot what its thoughts on gender identity and the sex spectrum were, and the parrot's thoughts would not be less silly than yours.

I think it's also fairly safe to say that birds don't need to ask one another's pronouns to figure out which ones are female and which ones are males. That's the concept of sexual dimorphia...

Pretty sure birds know the difference between male birds and female birds, otherwise male birds of paradise would be doing those dances trying to mate with each other.

Words like "male" and "female" are made-up words to describe the very real phenomenon of sexual characteristics. All these people are doing is showing their racism by insisting that non-white people were too stupid to know where babies came from before white people told them.
