She gets called an antisemite because some overt antisemites tried to compare some creatures in the movies made about her books to Jewish people??

Also how the fuck is she fatphobic, that's a new one

They must have found some Tweet from 5 years ago where she said it's important to eat healthy 🤣

"Eat your fiber!" "So you're telling me I should kill myself because I just ordered some Papa Johns"

They say that because of how she talks about Dudley and his dad and his aunt in the books.

Because all the mean/evil characters are fat, I think. The only good character who was overweight was probably Mrs. Weasley.

And like look, I get it. I don't like it either. But holy shit, they need to chill. This stuff is engrained deep and it will take time to change.

Every time I read this I'm like, wtf. They're essentially saying "This green fantasy race is ugly, has a hooked nose, and hoards money, and I know those are characteristics of Jewish people! JKR is anti-Semitic!"

They even tried to paint Severus Snape as an anti-Semitic character before the Goblins because he is ugly with a hooked nose.

Really telling on themselves.

Exactly my thoughts when I read that bullshit. If they instantly interpret those things as characteristics of Jewish people, and then claim that JKR hates Jews, it's really all just projection. They thought of it as the first thing, because subconsciously that's what they themselves actually believe.

It's like the backlash that was caused by those two children sitting next to each other, white kid and black kid, and the black kid was wearing a shirt that said "coolest monkey in the jungle." Everyone instantly said it was racist, but even the boy's mother said she didn't see it as racist.

People look for reasons to cry wolf and virtue signal. It's disgusting.

Dude all the hook nosed people I know aren't Jewish or Semitic. What an idiotic take.

I get that this is straight from the right wing playbook but like.... maybe this once? If you're squinting that hard at the goblins running the banks and comparing them to Jews, maybe you will find it is you who are antisemitic.

Yep. People realized she wasn’t being canceled as hard as they wanted with the trans stuff so they started reaching for anything they could find. None of these people care about actual antisemitism.

Good god, the biggest consoomers are always so whiney. READ ANOTHER BOOK.

Anyway, it isn't a collection for me but I hope your cousin has fun with it, Florence.

Edit: Ah, wait. OP bought it for herself. Have fun OP! Sorry, bad day here.

It is their most requested collab collection. They are going to make huge money on this. No amount of whining from TRAs and handmaidens is going to change that.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the beauty junkies panning this collection publicly do actually buy it.

Capitalism and make-up, no thanks

I know what you mean, but at the same time, nothing wrong with getting a bit of Christmas or birthday shopping done. Big difference between that and losing your mind and worshipping colourpop or buying it to have it sit.

Supporting the make up industry is pretty antithetical to the radfem fight. I'm not saying you can't buy/wear/gift make up, but, yknow 🤷‍♀️

You don't have to buy things for people for Christmas or Birthdays either. Not everything has to be a commercial opportunity to consume. Or if you do choose to buy things, you can choose things that are useful and practical. Idk. I'm not trying to be The Fun Killertm but... yknow...

I wasn’t gonna buy it, but I like eyeshadow and the pettiness got the best of me. I’m such a Slytherin.

I didn’t want everything from the collection but I made sure to get the hermione lipstick, that awesome-looking palette, and the Hedwig highlighter. I grabbed a few jelly eyeshadows and a set of brushes while I was on the site, seems right to support them. :)

Ugh, I'm not even sure what all the other "-ists"/"-phobics" are all about. I'm sure she regrets all the post-mortem signalling she tried to do to appear more woke. This goes to show that everything you do to try to please them works until it doesn't, and then it's a weapon against you.

If I were at all a fan of the color scheme the collection has, I'd pick it up myself!

Oh yay! A non-makeup wearer, I was a little bummed at not being able to get anything, but I spy lip balms. And I might even get that Luna lipgloss, too.

I can’t wear eye makeup due to sensitivity and don’t wear a ton of makeup in general but I am for sure getting the lip balm and maybe the hermione lip gloss which is a nice neutral

Yeah I bought the palette for my cousin and a lip balm for myself. I was going to get the Hufflepuff balm before I realized it was yellow tinted lmao. So Gryffindor was the one I went with. Red at least looks like a normal human lip colour 😂

I've not worn makeup since the pandemic started, but I've been meaning to get some new eyeshadow for my sister's wedding, and the fall colors in this pallet look nice. Thanks for reminding me to check this line out!
