I mean, I think JKR will go down in history as a courageous and inspirational feminist who stood up for women and girls 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t think history will look kindly on the violent misogynists, predators and homophobes that make up the trans movement.

One week: "the world completely demonized Amber Heard, twisted the truth, and let an abuser harass his victim again, how could they all just accept that"

Next week: "wow I can't believe JK Rowling personally murdered 10000 transwomen with her bare hands, no I didn't read what she wrote but I know it's awful"

I was banned from that Reddit for saying that claiming jews run the entertainment industry is antisemitic. They never told me what rule I broke. The people claiming jews ran the industry were not banned.

I mean she is practically invincible. No one can cancel her.

Lord knows it’s not been for lack of their trying.

LOL cope.

All this talk about ruining her legacy...with what? How?? She didn't ruin her legacy, they tried to ruin her legacy. She didn't commit any act or say anything that could tarnish everything she's ever done. They took her support, that wasn't unconditional, and decided that she was a traitor and a phobe of some kind.

Of all of the men on social media that have said, done, or shared some f*cked up stuff on their pages, they choose the woman that (lovingly and respectfully) stated that she supports trans people, but she can't deny that sex is real. Yep. Devil incarnate, that one.

People still love the content. No way will they stop consuming Harry Potter material. Ever. She created an amazing, intricate world that will span generations. They'll just have to cope.

Ppl will forget about this in a few years. She's untouchable and they hate her so much for it

So many comments, I wish I could link multiple pictures in one post. Here's one of my favorites:

I mean she is practically invincible. No one can cancel her. She can live in a bubble and never see the haters, people flock to see her terrible beasts movies, and she's so rich she's as powerful as a robber baron of old. In a capitalist society, she can simply buy public opinion.

Her destroying the lives of trans women the world over is just an idle curiosity to her. Like learning painting. She's a completely remorseless sociopath. This is a real life Patrick Bateman and people just act like she's a normal person. People think quitting writing about wizards to write anti-trans narratives as stories is normal. People think naming herself after a famous ant-LGBTQ doctor is normal. Waiting until the FB3 trailer dropped when all this attention was on her to release this hateful tweet is normal? To dedicate her life to endless hate is normal? To hate one of the must vulnerable groups out there? And a "feminist" aligning herself with Putin, Donald Trump, Tories, Republicans, Incels, MRAs, right wing religion, etc is just completely off the charts. This is a very misguided, hateful, and sick person. None of this is normal, logical, compassionate, or intelligent at all. Its unbridled hate writ large. Sadly, a hate that's socially acceptable at this time in history, but its clear these people are all on the wrong side of history.

Do you want to know what JKR's "hateful tweet" according to this user was? https://twitter.com/jk_rowling/status/1470092815506063365?s=20&t=jNBmBd45qb9UNd0x6dij5w

She's a completely remorseless sociopath.

Oh, come on. Anyone who's ever read anything she's written would know this isn't true. When you write, you expose so much of yourself, your thoughts, your feelings, your most private vulnerabilities. She's been doing that for YEARS. Were she a sociopath, it would have been clear long before now. She would never have been able to keep it a big, huge secret through multiple books like that.

These people are shockingly ignorant.

Definitely. In the Harry Potter books and the Strike books I’ve noticed so many small, but meaningful moments of kindness and empathy being appreciated

Not to mention totally overdramatic. And you'll never EVER see these ppl raging against men, the ACTUAL threat to them.

In a capitalist society, she can simply buy public opinion.

Projection.

Flavor of the month? Projection!

LMAO now she's "destroying the lives of transppl" and a "remorseless sociopath"

Baahahhah

Unbelievable

Isn't the "anti lgbtq doctor" story entirely baseless? Didn't she pick the pseudonym from a family name or something?

Yes, it’s rubbish. Among other things, the information on Robert Heath being a conversion therapist wasn’t publicised till years after she’d chosen the nom de plume

Not only is Harry Potter still a massive franchise despite TRA virtue signalling and whinging, but JK will eventually prove to be on the right side of history (as much as I loathe that phrase). Funny how I only see this energy for disagreeable female writers/creators and not males who've committed actual crimes.

i feel like we are supposed to feel sympathy for the trans person who left their job cos JKR is a big meanie, or that's what the poster expects. 'i have hurt friends' is next to 'i have black friends' in signifiers that the interlocutor can't muster any reasoned discourse.

and also, if they did leave the job they loved because someone related to it (but not your employer or any supervisors) said something you don't like, then you're gonna have a hard life. find me a company where everyone is the same as you and i'll show you a company dying because diversity of opinion is vital to success. unless their friend is privileged enough to pick and choose jobs that suit you, in which case they should quit playing the victim.

I was so hurt I had to go work for Amazon and Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk

Taking the moral high ground isn’t always easy, but someone has to do it.

It's really hard to feel sympathy for someone quitting their job just because someone they will never meet or interact with has a harmless opinion they don't like. There are so many women who have to stay in jobs where they are actively being harassed or discriminated against, but they have to put up with it out of pure need. If they can just quit over something this meaningless, they can't be that affected by the loss of the job
