This is more evidence that they know for a fact that “assigned gender at birth” means sex. You cannot change something that happened in the past. Changing your birth certificate cannot change the gender you were ‘assigned’ at birth! But they know that. They know when they say “AFAB” they mean female and when they say female they mean woman and it’s all the same thing. They know AGAB, gender and sex all refer to the same phenomenon: sex. And they know their sex is male and always was male and always will be male, and the only way to “change” it is through deception and forcing others go along with their delusions.

None of this makes sense. They are talking in circles and using the same terms to mean different things, depending on who is speaking.

My eyes crossed trying to read that shit.

Yep. It's so nonsensical it needed to be documented. As much as I despise TIMs this user makes me sad. He's clearly homosexual and inverted his penis over 40 years ago, so he more than likely was an abused and neglected gay kid. I wish he would have just accepted being gay and didn't end up where he is now. But my empathy for males is very limited.

Right? I could practically hear their backs breaking as they twisted themselves into knots.

Say hypothetically, SRS does not change your amab to afab. Then, for me personally, it was a big waste of my sexuality because all it did is provide me with a sense of legal legitimacy

I sort of need to think of myself as biologically female because if I don't I pretty much threw away all my adult sexual feelings for nothing

What I'm really concerned about is the idea that sex change is accomplished by SRS? This is very important to me because, for me, it was the biggest compromise I made in my life! I gave up most of my sexual feeling because I wanted to conform to society's idea of what a female is.

I never really used words like cis. I I just have to refer to myself as female because I paid the price. If I was 16 today I might make different decisions.

This is what happens when you sacrifice your sexuality to a sexual paraphilia.

Edit: Woah, it seems like this guy transitioned 50 years ago which means he’s most likely in his 70’s. If that’s the case I actually feel bad for him. He’s probably HSTS and truly believed he could transition into a female.

The average layperson back then didn’t know nearly as much about biology as we typically do today in the age of information (although many people still don’t know shit about biology). I can see how a HSTS in a incredibly homophobic society could believe that they could really change sex, especially if a doctor was telling them they could change their sex.

I can also understand how this man is torn up about sacrificing his sexual functioning, especially now that gay men are accepted in society. You can tell that he is completely outside of the ‘trans community’ and it’s quite possible that his exposure to the trans community is what finally made him realize that it was all a lie.

it was the biggest compromise I made in my life! I gave up most of my sexual feeling because I wanted to conform to society's idea of what a female is.

So he has to keep up the lie that he’s female or face the fact he threw so much away for nothing - sounds utterly miserable, how can someone live like that?

And I'd be willing to put down a lot of money that he doesn't pass. What a waste of a life.

It’s 100x worse because he transitioned 50 years ago and now lives in an era where homosexuality is accepted.

Christ wtf? How could it possibly make time travel happen and tell the doctors who "assigned" you male at birth to put female instead???

I don't think they ever think about what it actually means, that it refers to the reality of their body at birth. They just notice that people use "afab" to mean "a real woman, you know the kind we used to call just woman", and they want to take that from us. They will appropriate every word that is used to refer to real women, they do not want us to have a word to refer to ourselves.

They'll claim they're "cis women" the moment women ask for "cis women only" spaces.

Evolution of language happens very fast with ignorant people who have no idea what words really mean, and never even try to find out. They also use "nazi" as general purpose word for "person I don't like" without realizing that they are the people who would have been nazis under the nazi regime, and that the people they hate would have fought the nazis.

So, I am kinda unsurprised.

They make words mean what they want them to mean.

50 years ago many TIMs who had "SRS" were heterosexual men with AGP just like today. The two most famous TIMs who had "SRS" in the early 70s were macho men and fathers who were or had been married to women - James Jan Morris and Richard Raskin Renee Richards.

The average layperson back then didn’t know nearly as much about biology as we typically do today in the age of information

Wut? If anything, I think it's more likely that the total opposite is the case. In my experience and observation, in countries such as the USA, the average layperson 50 years ago knew considerably more about human biology of sex than younger people today who've grown up in the internet age seem to know.

50 years ago was the heyday of "Our Bodies Ourselves."

Obviously not. There are 3 primary characteristics of sex, genetics, genitals, and gonads, and no surgery today or in the imagined near future can change any of these characteristics into the characteristics of the opposite sex. Therefore it is impossible for a human to change sex, either naturally or via surgery. Tinkering with hormones only affects secondary sex characteristics.

If I get extensive cosmetic surgeries and procedures so I look 35-years-old rather than 62, does that mean I’m actually 35 -years-old?

I always say I'm AFAB when filling out paperwork because legally my sex is female according to my birth certificate and ID. A lot of places ask for it in place of sex in forms and such.. because they're stupid. Then they submit the wrong information to social security or insurance and act all surprised Pikachu face when crap gets rejected.

These places know they're dealing with a male, but they're the stupid ones. 🤪

If their skeleton is found in a couple of hundred years, it will be identified very easily as that of a man.

I don’t know how they don’t get this.

Yeah, I don't get how people don't understand how surgery works. I mean, it's not a magic potion.

Are there any women who got their nose surgically altered who are then surprised that their daughter inherited their "ugly" original nose? I mean, it's common sense!

If you carve a pear so that it looks like an apple, it's still a pear!

And it was always pretty clear to me that that's how surgery works: You put a knife to things. There might be the beginnings of other methods (I heard they are trying to change the genes of people who are already born), but 50 years ago? It must have been very, very clear that any surgery can only ever be cosmetic. Carving. Only a very undereducated person could believe that human beings are made of clay and become what you shape them to resemble. (I mean ... chromosomes? They did know about chromosomes 50 years ago, right?)

And nowadays, well, most TIPs seem to be aware that they don't get an injection of gene-changing stuff and then change, they know that the surgery they want to get involves a lot of cutting and sewing. TIMs know that they aren't given a vat-grown real vagina, but that they get their penis inverted ... you need to be seriously deluded to believe that that turns you into the other sex. (Deluded, or a child. I do feel bad for children who are transed before puberty ... children might still have enough magical thinking to not get that it's all a lie.)

Now, I have higher education, but is there really a way to get through school without learning about sex chromosomes?

Hmm. Pornsick rapey man with his junk intact > has "SRS" > Nope still a pornsick rapey man, but with his junk mutilated into a surgical front hole.
