There is an important lesson to be learned here and that is that the “marketplace of ideas” isn’t enough. Bad ideas seep into public opinion and get written into law not based on how true or false they are but on how much institutional support they have. The only way to make sure your own ideas have a fighting chance is by creating your own collective institutions (eg Women’s Place UK, LGB Alliance) or stationing yourself in existing ones (media, academia, government.) The only weapon against catch-phrases (“transwomen are women!”) is not debate but other memeable catchphrases (“Women won’t Weesht!”). This is why women in the UK have made more headway that women in the US- American women think being right is enough. They haven’t figured out the power game.

If you want to fight unelected, unaccountable NGOs like Amnesty you have to make your own.

They used the wrong flag so they hate trans people.

I'm tempted to follow them just to see their choice of flag backfire .

Translation:

🍆Men's special fetish privileges are human rights🍆

What they actually try to say is "trans rights > human rights" but they wont admit it

No thanks, not interested in this mantra. Freedom of religion and all that.

Surprised they're using the transphobic rainbow flag, though.

I don't think a tiny version of the "using black people as a human shield" flag is available yet. I guess whoever is in charge of that hate trans ppl uwu 🥺

Google goggle Google goggle one of us one of us

I think it's "gooble gabble, gooble gabble", but since google is pushing this... it's appropriate.
