I recently got a grill but I’m not sure what to use it for besides mock meats and grilled peppers. I’m kind of jealous of how easy and delicious omnis have it when it comes to their grill options. What are some mouthwatering vegan barbecue recipes?

I know it's mock meat, but these BBQ seitan ribz are one of my all-time favourites. The VBQ cookbook has a ton of other ideas, too, a handful of which are at that link. And if you're able to find them where you are, please try grilled king oyster mushrooms. YUM.

Grilled sweet potatoes! Foil wrap them with some oil and garlic and they'll be absolutely amazing. If you can get a vegan herbal butter of sorts to add to it it'll be even better.

Grilled avocados are amazing! Just put some aluminum foil on the grill and the avocados on the foil.

Also, marinate pineapple chunks in wishbone Italian dressing and then use them on a kebab.

I don't have any specific recipes, but a few of my favorite things to throw on the grill are portobello mushrooms, onions, and I know it sounds really weird, but peaches cut in half and lightly grilled face down... 🤤 soooo good

Grilled asparagus 10/10, corn, also zucchini, yellow squash and eggplant are incredible on the grill and you can cut them thick and even marinate them if you are so inclined 👌 I love love love making kebabs with whatever I have laying around (onions, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, any vegetable really, but also fruit like mango and pineapple). You could get a grill basket to make it easier. I always make brown rice on the side and it's a perfect meal every time.

Grilled corn is a game changer. I take the corn while still in the husk, dunk it in water, and throw it on the grill.

Grilled peaches are weirdly good. I also love zucchini grilled and then drizzled with balsamic vinegar.

I haven’t tried it myself (yet) but a slightly modified* version of this barbecued squash and blackbean “pizza” recipe would be delicious!

*Pretty self-explanatory but just swap the queso for vegan cheese and if using their crust, swap the honey for agave.
