Hi OP - In the future, please post this type of content over in /o/GenderCritical and not in /o/Women. I'm not going to delete your post here since a discussion has already started. Thanks for understanding!

He used to be a "Ken doll" before. Now he is a barbie doll.

I think the notion that adults should be free to self-determinedly destroy their bodies is too accepted.

Not all people can make smart, thoughtful decisions at all times. We have to protect people from themselves and the influence of others, especially those who want to earn money from it. Type changing surgery should simply not be allowed. At least not if there isn't a particularly good reason. A modification of the body is often irreversible and the pain, sadness and regret are a burden for everyone.

I agree completely. Unfortunately some people desperately need to be protected from themselves. This man’s transition is an extension of his severe plastic surgery addiction. He is an addict and any surgeon operating on him is enabling an addiction that will one day result in his death.

Yes, affordability and easy access to irreversible surgery is the main problem. A suicidal person who never gains access to a firearm might never kill himself. And a person who is not happy with their body (isn't that all of us?) cannot make themselves even more miserable without the help of surgeons (who have flushed their morality down the toilet).

He is transgender since the beginning of 2020. The complete program. He has new pronouns and hormone therapy.

"I’ve always felt like Barbie." "I’m a woman and have always had a feminine brain. Now my body matches my mind." "I have tried my best to behave like a man and live the best life I could. But deep inside, I was never happy" "I have female thoughts. I think like a woman, I act like a woman, because I have always been one deep inside." "I will have a penile inversion and my testicles will be removed – that will be the final step."

Unfortunately when the state had the power to do such it was horribly abused and the usual marginalized groups suffered for it.

What is this plastic, photoshopped monstrosity? He doesn't even look human anymore.

Wait is that Rodrigo Alves!? I haven't heard of him in long time...

[–] LilianH 3 points (+3|-0)

He ran out of surgeries to have as Ken so switched to being Barbie instead. The guy is addicted the plastic surgery and the surgeons keep taking his money and enabling his madness.

I’m sorry, why does it say in this article that an actual gynaecologist wrote in an actual medical journal that a TIM with a grave snatched womb and a emotionally blackmailed egg could carry a baby to term?!

Transplanting a uterus might be ONE thing which could technically be feasible if you're willing to take medication for the rest of your life. This is a step an MD will be, most likely, not willing to undergo, because there's no purpose to transplanting a non-functional uterus.

Transplanting ovaries is a completely different can of worms.

Sustaining an actual PREGNANCY in a transplanted womb is challenging even for women who received a transplanted uterus - it can be done, though.

Sustaining a pregnancy in males with a transplanted uterus has been done in rats with a success rate under 5% - while keeping the male rat sewn to a pregnant female to ensure even hormonal distribution.

The journal article they keep referring to is a thought piece that's mainly based on the opinion transplants would be necessary for "gender justice" or something like that, not an actual exploration into how this could be done, that's just a lot of bullshit with some theoretical speculations.

So... yeah... good luck.

A man who looks like a caricature of a sex doll wants to be a mother. Alternate title!

I think what bothers me the most is where this man (and others like him who want female organ transplants) are going to get these organs from. Sure, maybe some donated wombs may come from women who decided they want to be men, but how long can that go on?

These female organ “donations” aren’t going to stop at those who absolutely, positively, do not want them anymore.

That’s the thing that bothers me. Otherwise, if they want to die of sepsis and organ rejection, fine, go ahead, no loss.

And that’s what they think a woman is: a cartoonish nod to Kim Kardashian and Jessica Rabbit.

Womb transplants are still considered to be a groundbreaking procedure, predominantly performed with the use of a womb donated from a living woman.

However in 2019 history was made when a baby was born who had been carried to term in a womb transplanted from a dead donor.

This is why I’m rescinding my organ donor status. I don’t want any part of me in a TIM or man in general.
