I found this article very touching. Whoever is having the power, it doesn't really change a lot for those people and especially the women and girls.

I keep thinking about the "normal" girls and women a lot. I wrote about it before - I work in a refugee camp and when I step out for a break, I watch five little Afghani girls play. For all I can tell, they are perfectly ordinary little girls. Maybe they will grow up to be something "special", like soccer players or members of robotics teams or politicians. More likely, they won't. Most likely, they will have perfectly ordinary lives, hopefully, happy ones. Of course I'm happy for every woman that gets to flee Afghanistan. I can't help but feel sad and helpless and tired for all those that go unrecognized, unhelped.

The article was very, very moving. Thank you for posting it.
