It's just so tiring. Doesn't matter the hobby, no matter how far removed it is from gender/wokeness/idpol/etc. Sexism will show up and males will dominate the conversation.
I enjoy psychedelics. Even in the reddit psychonaut communities (supposedly full of "enlightened", empathetic people) there's males pontificating about the essential feminine nature and how male and female brains are fundamentally different. Men implying that the female brain means women don't appreciate psychs nor can they have as profound experiences.
I'd argue psychedelics are inherently feminine. They encourage introspection, increase empathy, and engender an appreciation for life. Just because hoards of women don't take heroic doses of lsd and post their novel-length, "profound" philosophy on life to reddit doesn't mean women aren't capable of philosophical thought.
Not sure why I even care anymore. I guess it's the ubiquity that gets me. The tendrils of sexism invade everywhere, because men are everywhere. Even the most enlightened man will view you as woman first, human second.
Maybe men think they have more profound experiences because their normal emotional range is about a quarter of an octave and MDMA is their first experience of empathy as an adult, so the contrast is staggering to them.
