So Im 5'2 used to be 230 lbs and now I'm 156lbs (goal 120) but my breasts didn't shrink at all. Not even a centimeter. My doctor told me to try weight loss first before breast reduction and I get that so I have. But nothing now except them causing me a neverending amount of pain and numbness and tingling. It feels like absolutely no bra I buy offers any kind of legitimate support. They are so heavy and bothersome I almost wanna cry about it. It's causing issues in my shoulders, my hands, my chest, my elbows, my back, my breathing, how I walk, what I can wear. Everything in my closet doesn't fit right and every day I'm trying on 80 different shirts just to try and be comfortable at all at work. It's gotten so bad I've barely moved or done anything outside of work. I plan on seeing the doctor again about this but even if I do the process to actualy get reduction (and if it's even covered :/) will take many months and probably longer than usual because covid as well. I do exercise a lot bc yes I count my job as that because I'm on my feet 9 hrs stocking. So I have gained muscle a lot and tried that to help but it hasn't either. Please does anyone have anything I can do in the meantime I'm losing my fucking mind. and if I don't get approved or covered idk what I'm going to do. I don't want to live like this forever.

Along with what another commenter said about finding ways to take pressure off your shoulders-- might be crazy, but could you try a corset? It seems like that way at least the support would not be hanging off of your shoulders, more from your hips.

I am so sorry you are dealing with this. Good luck! Please push hard for a reduction ASAP, this sounds completely miserable.

I agree with this suggestion -- you don't need to tight-lace it. That's where all the internal damage comes from (i.e. that famous scene in Gone with the Wind).

But a well-fitting, not-too-tight corset offers support that extends past the breasts. You can also get one with straps -- a corset could definitely help distribute the weight better.
