Ah, you had the same idea I did! I saw her doodle this morning and checked her out. I'm currently reading her book "American Indian Stories." It's pretty interesting seeing her describe her childhood, which obviously is so different from mine. Two of her books were free to download through my library thanks to Project Gutenberg, if anyone wants to read them .
I don't always click on the Google doodles, but this one was compelling and I'm glad I followed the link to her Wikipedia page. Such an interesting woman, and I'd never heard of her.
