Women are arguably currently more empowered in society than men. The fact that you are desirable is a super-power. Even after having children, women go from being super highly desirable to still desirable.

Dearest Scrote:

You can sell your asshole and see for yourself how much of a superpower that is.

I will even get you a cape. Actually, I will get the cape for your asshole since that will be the most powerful part if you, the real superhero if you will.

So powerful that some men will only see you as a hole. Tres Empowering

And after you have serviced your 20th penis of the day, you will be brimming with power.

and sti’s, trauma, abuse, semen, etc.

You won’t even mind that the pimp/the house keeps most of the money you earned

Because it’s all about your power

Yours sincerely,

Having seen it from her side of things, her fears are very understandable.

Also, found this comment by a scrote:

Being objectified and desired as a commodity does not equal to being empowered. It's such a basic concept that seems to fly over their heads over and over again.

Yup, because a woman's worth is how desirable men find her. And if you don't play into the system, then you're branded as ugly and unwanted as a bid to get you to play into the system. The best bet is to not play. It's can be hard and difficult. But at least we have freedom.

To be fair - we now live in a world that constantly grades you and asks of you to rate everything. So people probably actually think, "desirability" equals power. Not an excuse.

I can't believe men really believe this. I mean, they know how they treat women.

No man who loves his daughters would encourage them to wear skimpy clothes and tons of makeup as to empowerfulize themselves by being desirable.

Even my dad, who I suspect very much underestimates just how many men are horrible, is somewhat aware of the existence of the type of man who sexually assaults desirable girls.

And a man who pervs on women himself is guaranteed to know just how little he respects women, so has zero excuse.

I am reading about the sexual history of ancient Rome & Medieval Europe, I learned that a class of low status prostituted women & boys undergrid the entire society, available prostitution for married men is a defining feature of patriarchy.. if we thought they were closely linked before its actually more like the entire paradigm of our sexual society

I come here for a daily dose of reality and it never fails to disappoint! I shall go back to my hermit living ways. I'm convinced that this is the only way for true freedom. I honestly get so frustrated as I can't navigate this world at all. The idea of a loving and honest (male) partner is wonderful but it truly is just that: an ideal. In reality, the average man always vies for power over women. Women need to get away from men to be free.

Do you have any recommendations for books/articles that discuss this topic in more detail? Thank you

I've been reading this blog by medieval historian Eleanor Janega https://going-medieval.com/

The perspective is quintessential uncritical pro porn, pro kink, pro gender ideology but the information its self is worthwhile & written easy to read

And Wikipedia as a source, as Westerns ancient Rome & Greece are our direct civilizational/patriarchal forefathers https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexuality_in_ancient_Rome

Can you provide an archive link? I can't access the site without an account.

I guess with most of her johns being married men, she is very aware of just how lucky she would have to be to find a man to marry who doesn't cheat by raping other women for pay.

Thanks!

So, she claims prostitution hasn't damaged her. Hmmm. Doubtful.

But it is really interesting that she says she tried to not take johns that are married, and it wasn't possible. I knew that married men often were johns, but ... I didn't know there were so many of them that they are the bulk of all johns.

It would be difficult to find someone not damaged by office work, much less sex work. Such liars.
