This is really just a rant to blow off steam. Today my girlfriend and I went to a matinee movie where there were likely only twenty people in the entire movie theater.

At the entrance to our particular theater there was a tall older male eating a bag of popcorn and yelling to his wife or girlfriend down the hall. He was blocking the entire entrance. After three excuse me's he finally moved out of the damn way.

Me and my friend sat down. Right before the movie started, two scrotes sat in the two chairs directly behind us and the one directly behind me randomly was kicking my chair and huffing and puffing and moving positions. About fifteen minutes into the movie I got up, stared directly at the two scrotes who pretended not to notice someone getting up and eyeballing them directly. The pretended to watch the movie. I moved into the other seat beside my friend where neither of them could kick my chair.

They had the choice of at least one hundred other seats.

Would either of these minor transgressions happened to another male? Nope.

I've been noticing this a lot more. Men will go out of their way to disrupt whatever I'm doing for no good goddamn reason. At the gym, for example: a man bothered me twice for my elliptical even though there were about 10 empty ones.

Is this a desperation for any kind of female attention at all thing? Do they know that they're repulsive and so they resort to being as obnoxious as possible because negative attention is better than none at all?

I think it's a power play. Let me look for women to piss off and they can't hit me back. It absolutely is. Before I became a feminist I didn't notice this behavior and just thought it was "people" behaving badly. Now I realize all the time it was men.

You're right about the power play, too. The dude at the gym only stopped bothering me when my Nigel confronted him about it. Suddenly he wasn't so bold, of course.

Men make me sick. They feel soooo big going after women who can't fight back. Fucking cowards.

Anyway I hate men and wish they'd fuck off for good.

Remember when you were a kid and the boys loved to annoy the girls? Yeah they never grow out of that. I see this kind of desperate for attention, disrespectful, intentionally aggravating, childish kind of behavior everyday. It's very pathetic..

Sometimes it's not intentional like the guys who hover around you waiting for an opportunity to pounce and they think you can't tell what they're doing. Like motherfucker I can feel you staring and circling me waiting for me to look in your direction so you can pounce on me for attention

Yeah, I think it gives them a rush of power to know that they can get away with this shit and "don't have to worry" because a woman will never fight back. Same as dudes who yell shit at you from their car windows. When I was in my 20s, I heard it all: "Suck my dick, bitch!" "Nice ass!" "Hey, wanna fuck?" etc etc etc. And they would just vroooom off after saying it. It wasn't that they actually wanted to try and get laid or whatever. They were just trying to show off to their male friends that they could make a female feel like shit. And they didn't have to face me after they drove off. Sigh.

IME men are just so LOUD. Like, they talk so loudly. In Aldi the other day some man was talking on the phone and omg was he annoyingly loud, absolutely no regard for other shoppers.

Qualities men seem to possess FAR more frequently than women do: loudness, arrogance, thoughtlessness, lack of awareness of others, self importance, impatience...not to mention the obvious rage, aggression and violence.

Obviously I’m generalising but you see the noise thing with boys too. They are frequently so much louder than girls and (generally) so much more obnoxious.

They’ll be lots of well behaved and quiet boys who are no trouble, but my god, all the naughty, loud, obnoxious, out of control children are boys.

I have a confession to make : I secretly occasionally enjoy loud children or even groups of adults, if they are clearly having a great time.

I have noticed that girls and women (even groups with a clear female majority) tend to be equally loud but everyone is enjoying themselves so it's easier to tolerate or even second hand enjoy it a bit. Male groups basically have a screaming contest. Listen to their "conversations" - they are not even talking about the same thing, they each have their own conversation. Also, their group interaction with the public are often low-grade hostile.

They think they're being funny and trying to impress their friends like dumb teenage boys do 🙄 and even if you call them out on it they'll just call you a karen or a bitch 😒 stupid males.

Yes. I guess since I finally came round to feminism I have stopped thinking that that is a person annoying me and realized it is a man annoying me. These guys looked 25-30, way too old to be the sort of teenage kids looking for attention. Also by the time we left the chair kicker had his feet up on the back of the chair I vacated. Like I said, they could have sat literally anywhere else. I am 50, so prime for being a "Karen" target. They would never have pulled this crap on other men.

If someone was kicking my chair at the theheter.. I'd just stand up and block their view. Let them get pissed.
