The only times I shaved was when other people would see my leg hair. Now I will just show it off to society I guess. Gonna buy a capri jeans soon, can't wait to see te response of my sexist relatives who luckely live far away!

(Just wanted to post this out of excitement lol hope this can inspire some other women this summer!)

Yesss! Good on ya. Whenever I'm feeling nervous about going out with my leg hair on display, I just think "you can't be what you can't see" and hope that other women will see me and be inspired to do the same. Seeing other women with body hair makes me feel so much more comfortable with it. Let's make it the norm!! It saves time, money, and effort, and it's so liberating to learn what it feels like to not be ashamed of your natural body. I sometimes trim my pits because I use a paste deodorant and I use less if the hair is shorter, but the last few times I've done that I've felt sad to trim it because I love my pit hair so much. I trim my pubes because I enjoy sex more with shorter hair there. Sometimes I hope unashamedly displaying my body hair will generate conversations, but so far no one has even mentioned it.

Yay! Do it! I've been going multiple summers without shaving now and it's just freeing to exist as you are without having to worry about maintaining hairlessness. My body hair has actually grown on me (haha). I used to think it was animal-like and disgusting, but I actually like it now! It feels just like something that's just supposed to be there, on an adult female body (because it is). It feels much nicer to have someone stroke your leg or arms too, because all the little hairs give extra sensation. I don't even shave my armpits or pubes anymore, just trim them when they get so long they get stuck on things too often. Sadly, too many people still equate body hair on women with lack of personal hygiene, which is just nuts. Men manage to be hairy and clean (well, some of them don't...) so we can do the same just as easily.

I don't like seeing businesses shutter their doors - it seems like the weekly drop-off has slowed in my community at least. But I hope with COVID goddamn every one of those new European Wax bars goes the fuck out of business. A shit ton of them popped up all at once about five years ago in my home town. A paraeducator that worked in my classroom wore her shirt for a wax center because that was her second job. She was an excellent para, but it bothered me that this was such a thing, and that she was wearing it at school. Why does anyone need to be smooth? The ads for these places often insinuate something about date-night, having a new partner, special occasions, just feelin' good etc. Creeps me the hell out that it's gotten so mainstream.

Good for you! I hope many others give it a go! I stopped shaving for a good six months but, because I have some sensory issues, I struggled with the feeling of leg hair against pants or even just the hair in the wind. This probably wouldn't have happened if I hadn't felt the need to shave as a young teen but it is what it is. Maybe I'll give it another go in a few years.

I live in a place with cooler summers and I've been really into linen/lightweight pants for the past few years. If it gets really warm I go tank top with them.

If there is any greater example of how powerful and unnoticed socialization is, it's how disgusted men and women are by women's natural body hair.

It's a shame and such a stupidity.

I'm probably not gonna bother shaving my legs when the weather warms up either. I do trim it a bit tho bc it looks like pubes lol, very thick, dark and curly like the hair on my head.

Gotta shave the pits tho...I know some people say it helps with smell but on me they stank.

Nice! I find the best thing about unshaven legs is feeling the breeze rustle your leg hair lol. And in my personal experience I’ve never had anyone say anything rude or mention it at all really, which has been nice. I still do shave my pits though, a personal preference, as I sweat a lot. If I don’t shave them I stink like a dank sweat hog.
