Cringe with a side of: I don’t understand the basics of what I chose to do

cringe and gave consent via selling sex thus not counting as rape.

[–]bacon-wrapped-steakr/Cringedystopia 3 points 4 hours ago Cringe, she chose that lifestyle instead of finding a respectable job or husband.

[–]CannibalCrayon 4 points 3 hours ago Cringe, hard fucking cringe. What a fucking vile woman, to literally fit the bill of a slut but then claim to be a victim of something she can't even begin to imagine. I lost my childhood because of it, and so have many other men and women, and children who somewhere right now are experiencing the same horrors. I wish I knew in her real life so I could spit on her

Men are fucking vile. Yet again showing why "sex work is work" is a lie. Consent cannot be bought and sold, a woman's body is not an object a man can rent for whatever he wants. Women are autonomous human beings and we should only have sex when we are enthusiastically and freely consenting and the moment either of those ends, sex is off the table.

Can't tell if the awful spit on her commenter is a scrote or a handmaiden, either way this person is a cruel piece of trash with no empathy for women, misogynist to their core.

"Sex work is work" is the mantra of the whrephobes, those who hate women and view them as tainted if we dare to have sex or try to gain any semblance of control over our sexuality by using our bodies (the only thing of value a woman has under patriarchy) to pay the bills or build a better life for herself. The way men talk about "whres" is proof enough that it's unethical to put women in situations with these deranged males.

Your whole comment...

But also, this : "The way men talk about "whores" is proof enough that it's unethical to put women in situations with these deranged males."

Really gave me a moment of clarity on the situation, as well. And more pro prostitution women really ought to think about this one.

Also, cannibalcrayon's comment is so incredibly cruel and... as a rape survivor myself, baseless...? She's making a mockery of rape? You can't be serious. I thought cannibal was probably a man because he listed male rape victims before female ones (+ the attitude and stance), who knows, though. "I wish I knew her in real life so I could spit on her"? Uhm... What? Ignoring how bizarre what he said is, the lack of compassion is just astounding, and coming from someone who is claiming to be speaking from a place of compassion? You know what I mean? It's just... viscious. Completely viscious. And... what idiot could actually think that prostitutes know nothing of actual rape?

In case you needed more evidence that Reddit is a cesspool of misogyny. The comments are absolutely nightmarish.

My expectations for reddit are low, but they still manage to keep shocking me with how cruel they are...

At least you can be sure that they're as miserable as they act.

And hear that shout about "Sex Work is Work". I wouldn't be surprised if many of them visit prostitutes themselves.

Imagine their response when they learn that most women do pr*stitution as a last resort.
