Like when they say/post things like ''women are so strong!! so independent!!! we need to protect them #womensrights'' things like that. Honestly it just pisses me off, especially if they're rich men who you never see donate to women's causes.

It's almost like commenting that the sky is blue, it does barely anything at all.

Bar is so low for men it's a tripping hazard, yet men will still limbo with the devil to go under it.

This straight woman is done with men. They can't act like grown-ups, they can stay out of my home.

The ones who pretend to be "feminist allies" are the worst (i.e., Hugo Schwyzer).

Hugo Schwyzer

There's a name I haven't heard in a long time.

I wish he'd finally get off the internet like he promised to do way back when. Looks like he's on Substack. One of his most recent works is entitled "You Don't Get to Go: On The Moral Obligation Not to Kill One's Self."

Not a word about one's moral obligation not to murder one's girlfriend in the name of suicide, of course.

It's all just virtue signaling like everyone else does. Wake me up when men stop using porn and dating apps.

They know they'll get lauded for bare minimum by everybody. Besides, what do men do besides bare minimum. 💀

I thought this was gonna be about fathers because that's where my mind went. My mom praises my uncle for how "involved" he is with his kids, when literally all he does is once a week take them out to do something fun. Their mom, my mom's sister, does literally everything else, which of course makes her the "mean parent" for disciplining or saying no. Granted my dad was a worthless pos so I get where my mom's coming from, but still... Or like how a bunch of women coworkers started praising/some clapping for a man who offered his seat to another coworker because apparently "you don't see that anymore" like. The bar is so low the devil's limbo dancing with it in hell

Lol yup, me too! Came here to say they do the minimum and act like they are doing everything all on their own!!! Mmhmm, sure.

I think a lot of men think they are allies if they're not pretending we are witches or are "privileged white women" and "Karens". Seriously, how does a member of the oppressor sex class run their damned mouth about the oppressed sex class as "privileged". Men could end the oppression tomorrow. But too many Nigels know they're on to a good thing, so say nothing about their fellow male who shits over women.

I think men "think they are allies" as long as no feminist woman hears them saying "Karen" and calls them out.

Today, my Nigel was rewatching a movie that starred a then-underage actress. He came into the room, looking horrified, and said “She was a minor in that and it’s really creepy how much they sexualized her.” The movie is twenty years old! We watched it when it came out. He just now realized it. I laughed at him in a “Aww, aren’t you cute?” kind of way. It only took him having a teenaged daughter for him to realize. Bravo. I mean, I’m glad he came to that realization, but come on. Too little, too late, my dude.

It's what I call a day late and a dollar short, at some point in the past, men being vocal about women's rights and expressing positive non traditional views about women would have been useful, but now it's counterproductive and regressive because they do it to get cuddled and praised.

Men doing the bare minimum? It's way more than most of them do.
