My billboard went live this weekend! I'm sorry, I don't know how to share a picture here. ETA: Ok, I figured out that I need to make an upload post, which I didn't see as an option in this circle, so a picture has been posted to the Women circle. The picture makes it look like the billboard is in the middle of nowhere, but that's just because we pulled way off the highway to take the picture. It's in a congested area. It's not NYC, but hey...it's my town and I'm proud!

Anybody know who’s financing these billboards? We need one in Atlanta.

I financed this one personally, because I knew that fundraising was going to expose me to harassment. And I had heard that GoFundMe shut down a fundraiser for an "Irreversible Damage" billboard. So I went rogue. I don't know about the New York City board.

Gotcha. I need to find out how much that would cost because I’ve got the perfect location here in Atlanta.

Tallahassee is the biggest little hick town...and it cost $925 for two weeks. I was kinda disappointed when I got the cost estimate, but I am too stubborn to back down, haha.

Women's Liberation Radio News is organizing these. You might want to get in touch with them to get one in Atlanta. Contact them via Facebook or Spinster.

Independent donors or groups of donors. The billboards in Utah, New York, and San Francisco were all financed privately by individuals. DC, Vancouver, Germany, Oakland, Edinburgh, LA, and some others have been financed by groups of concerned parents or other groups. Reach out to the groups or people who have spoken about putting them up on Twitter. They will connect you to others who can help if you have money to do it.

How is the trans activist and gender critical scene in Florida in general?

I have no idea. I work from home, my best friend works from home...we really have no contacts in the outside world. Also, neither of us has kids so we don't know if there are any conflicts in the school system. Basically I'm just out of touch with my immediate environment. But hey, now people driving down the street will know there's at least one GC-er in town!

Check out this link at WLRN to see the billboard: https://www.facebook.com/WLRNews4Women

Thank you, I've been sleeping (FL time zone, obviously!) and I woke up to this. Thank you!

Do you have a link to a Twitter post or something announcing or with a picture? Get the GC community talking about it there! And well done!

It's supposed to be tweeted and Instagramed by the organization, Women's Liberation Radio News, but I don't think they have done so yet. I just sent them the pictures a few hours ago.

Oh, very well done! You did it! And it's nice and big (the one time size does matter!)!
