Write or Call In CampaignDiscrimination Policies erasing sex
Ok ladies, it’s time to check your local hospitals and schools discrimination policies to determine if they have removed sex in favor of the almighty gender. My hospital, where I am about to give birth, has erased sex discrimination, which is the law, in favor of gender discrimination. I’ve reported it to the Joint Commission & am currently looking for other avenues to report. My report is below:
[Hospital name] is failing to adhere to the written law. Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, protecting the civil rights of individuals who access or seek to access covered health programs or activities, prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex in covered health programs or activities. [Hospital name] has decided to remove sex discrimination protections from their non-discrimination policy. This violates the intent of the law and the ACA. Sex is a biological reality, gender is a construct. By failing to address sex-based discrimination, [hospital name] is in direct violation of the law’s intent.
