Safe Schools Alliance are asking people to write to the EHRC who have announced they are going to clarify the law on single sex spaces. they particularly want teachers and parents to write in about the experiences at their school(s) and request that you copy them into your correspondence so they can collate.

Done. I’m a teacher. Hopefully they don’t release my name but 🤷🏽‍♀️ if they do I’ll stand by my words.

Even if you have single sex exemptions if you want your child's school to hang on to them it might be worth writing - explaining why your child would be reluctant to use the toilets otherwise.

I think, if it applies to anyone, that if when viewing schools as a prospective parent if you ruled a school out because it had single sex toilets, and if that limited your options significantly locally when picking a school that would also be worth mentioning.

Have you been doing university open days with your kids? Noticed the toilets? I'd mention that too.
