There is a new Canadian federal political party, Canadian Future Party. It has a centrist platform, with the goal to bring Canadian politics and policies back from extreme left and right. This includes a policy to remove C16 and** ensure rights and legal identities are sex-based. ** Here is their website: https://thecanadianfutureparty.ca/ Most importantly, their convention is in Ottawa, November 8-10 and members can vote on policy. HOWEVER one must have been a member for 45 days before the convention to vote. The website does not explicitly state that C16 is to be rolled back, but statements in support of this have been made by the Leader in party events. I assume that the choice of Evidence Based is the most prudent wording to put on their website for the time being. It costs $10 to join, and means that, if one can get to the conference, one can be on the ground floor of a non-conservative party which has policies to protect women's rights and safe spaces. Also as a member, you can submit policy suggestion online. Your call to action is to review their policies, join, and start Canada back on the road to sanity.
How do you know that statements supporting sex-based rights have been made by the leader? Through hearsay or did you personally hear them say this? Is there any written or video evidence of this anywhere?
Personally attended meeting a meet the candidate session, as this was my criteria for supporting them or not. I specifically asked if they were going to challenge C16, and the answer was yes, that women have sex-based rights and should have safe spaces protected. This was said by Dominic Cardy and Julie Smith.
So there actually are sane people in Canada! Phew, I was beginning to worry there weren't any, but this is very heartening! :-)
I've been waiting to see something in writing about this. Their current online policy doesn't mention it. Do you have any sources?
Canada is so far gone, I actually think changes there would influence changes elsewhere. good to see this.
