SoftwareChanges to facilitate archiving

We made some changes to make archiving the site better.

  1. All comments are loading at once on posts, so there aren't "load more" buttons. This makes loading posts with a lot of comments slow, but means comments won't be lost in many archive efforts, as long as they don't save the page before the comments load.

  2. All dates have been changed to absolute dates instead of relative "posted 3 minutes ago" dates.

  3. I've disabled automatic blurring of NSFW-marked posts for viewers who aren't logged in.

Thank you to the dev team!

We're also planning on making a flat-file archive to distribute after closing to people who are serious about hosting a backup. If you want to request the archive PM me and let me know what your plans are. Watcheratthegates posted a thread to lower archival chaos here.

Ovarit's url will redirect to our substack page after we close and we'll link to archives others are maintaining from there.
