I love crocheting realistic botanicals and this is so cute! It's giving Totoro vibes
This is so neat! Looks like magic clothing to me. How will you fix the holes in the sleeve on the left?
huh? That's not a sleeve, it's button holes.
Gorgeous!!!
You should be proud of this
This is something I want to learn how to do.
Don't learn, just do! I didn't know what I was doing, either. And yet the result is nice enough :)
This beautiful hand-knittet wool cardigan was laying on the street for a week, so I picked it up as I figured noone is missing it.
There was a few holes in it, but until I got to mending them one turned into this huge rip.
I pretended that I knew what I was doing, and did a bunch of stiches my 16th century ancestors wouldn't be proud of. For the leaves, I just used a youtube "crochet leaf" tutorial. Edit: the green yarn is cotton.
In the end I think the messiness of the mend gives a very organic look, and the contrasting color makes it look like at was supposed to look that way.
I have found that learning is more interesting when you have a very concrete problem to fix applying the new knowledge. So congrats for the new cardigan!
If this is messy, the stuff I crochet is never going to see the light of day lol. This looks amazing and intentional, like something you could sell for a profit.
Keep going and keep practicing. My first bouquet of crochet flowers was like night and day to my most recent one. I've since switched over to embroidery and it's very addictive
I started embroidery last week!! It is addictive. I really wanna see some of those crochet flowers though!
Oh no no no, now you MUST show your crochets :)
