I want to do a beanie that can fit a baby from birth to 12 months. For the main stitch I think I will use honeycomb, as in my experience it is very stretchy/springy. But I need the stretchiest cast-on possible, and I cannot find anyone comparing different cast-on methods in terms of stretchiness. It's always "this one is very stretchy, this one is quite stretchy, this one is great if you need a stretchy edge" but never a ranking of different methods in terms of stretchiness.
So, is there such a resource anywhere on the internet? Or in a book?
You can do 3x5 instead of 5x5
