I’ve just been doing color changes and “weaving in the ends.” This means there’s lots of little poky bits sticking out everywhere but I keep them with like colors and it’s not a problem. I’m wondering if it was a big mistake because I’m using Caron Simply Soft which is slippery and sometimes seems to want to unravel.
I was planning on using bobbins for a graphgan later this year but I’m wondering if my C2C “weaving in” situation is completely nuts and unheard of or if it is seen as a normal method to use for all the color changes.
Weaving in all the ends is doable. I only wonder how time consuming that many ends would be. Do you want the project to be reversible? You could carry the yarn along the back like with tapestry crochet and sew it to a piece of backing.
It is very time consuming but I don’t mind it for this project. I like the idea about sewing it to backing…I’ll look into it. Thanks!
I'm making one right now without bobbins. Sure, I'll have a lot of ends to weave in- but I can crochet over tails that match the color underneath it, and that helps a lot.
I'm making a cute llama design for a friend who is having a baby 😊
I’m also crocheting over some tails! Good luck with your llama. That sounds adorable
Here's the pattern!
I'm doing yellow instead of gray for the background. Best of luck with yours 😊
