Nonfiction"Merchants Of Truth: The Business of News and the Fight for Facts" by Jill Abramson (2019)

A former editor of the New York Times takes an unsparing look at the decline of US journalism and the rise of the internet.

I found this book to be very eye-opening on the decline of journalism and the rise of click-bait and internet "news." Long but rewarding inside look into the NYT as well as other companies as digital ascends and journalism declines.

Hm. Am reading Goodreads reviews, and apparently she plagiarized a number of short passages? Awkward.

Not sure about that, although I did hear about the controversy after I read the book, but I didn't investigate it. But she did expose some powerful people.
