FantasyAny other LotR fans?

I have a big soft spot for anything Tolkien. Hobbits are my favorite fantasy race hands (or feet?) down.

I think his works contain some great universal themes as well--the necessity of fighting evil, the love of one's community and friends, the explicit condemnation of violence as an end all be all solution, the idea that even the smallest and meekest of us can be heroes (specifically thinking of Samwise who is incidentally one of my favorite fictional characters of all time), that there is goodness and value in the everyday world and in the kindness we show each other each day.

Are there any other fans of Tolkien's work here?

Unfortunately, the BBC is doing this to spare the feelings of every TIM, because as soon as you say that this pervert is really a man, that means they're all men.

Oh, my!

The fact is that TIMS would rather claim this pervert as one of their own than admit that he's not a woman.

The bbc is completely incapable of calling any rapist a rapist especially if they’ve worked for them for years.
