So I finished a book about Joan of Arc and it was so interesting and it actually makes me even more mad that TRAS try to trans her. There was this weird prophecy in France that was about a virgin girl that was going to save France from an evil queen. France at the time was hyper religious and was heavily invested in mythology and prophecy. Joan of Arc was actually a pretty typical girl, but she was living in this village that didn't have aristocrats taking care of it and was frequently invaded. She wasn't some woman that was trying to find herself, she was trying to help her village and ended up becoming a pawn in a religious war. She shouldn't even be seen as a feminist icon really, she had a very tragic life and it is honestly kind of weird how so many groups have made her some kind of symbol.
