Have you read the black witch chronicles? I really like the story. It's the type of book I would want to write myself. It is written my female author and it has strong female characters. I would say the book is feminist.
Great for 14 and up. I would love to give the book to my daughters, if I had them lol.
I’ve been telling friends and family with some medical knowledge that when they say puberty blockers, they mean lupron. It horrifies them.
If you were to bring this contradiction to Google's attention I wonder what they would do... a) correct the puberty blocker information; b) change or delete the Lupron information; c) just totally ignore you
Trouble sleeping should be considered a big deal. Lack of sleep quickly impairs the immune system and general ability to think.
I know many women with endometriosis who were “treated” with Lupron and never regained ovary function.
holy shit. why is lupron a treatment for that?? what is it supposed to do?
Because there is a widespread belief amongst doctors that hormones treat endometriosis even when they do not. There can be some relief gained by entering an artificial (medical) menopause. I was on a similar drug called danazol that left me with some terrible permanent side effects.
Any relief is temporary and at what cost?
Lupron severely depresses production of sex hormones. GnRH agonist. And it has a ton of really nasty side effects.
It was developed for palliative care for end-stage prostate cancer. It's no joke.
Why is decreased libido bolded? It's definitely not the worst thing on that list.
I assume on the original page the text is sourced from, the bolded text is a link.
I wish I’d had the forethought to save it, but there was a thread a few months back posted by a woman who had been on Lupron for medical reasons and the side effects were just terrifying and awful.
Why it’s even approved is beyond me and how easily it’s being handed out instead of as a last resort is disgusting to begin with, let alone experimentally being given to minors.
If there is a better circle for this let me know.
I was listening to Blocked and Reported podcast the other day and they mentioned how the search results are different when you search "puberty blockers" versus the name of the actual drug most commonly prescribed as a puberty blocker.
It's fine! It shows the contradicting information that's out there regarding medical transitioning.
