Recommendation RequestBooks of/on the Work of Female Photographers
Posted December 10, 2022 by [Deleted] in Books

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions regarding "coffee table" (see also: obnoxiously large) books of female photographers or their work?

I adore these types of books because they give me inspiration when I am painting/taking pictures or enjoying the artistic side of my brain.

I was hoping to get a few to add to my studio to leave on my coffee table to browse. <3

I haven’t engaged with it because it makes me too angry.. but my work is advertising how we’re meant to be “celebrating ALL women” this women’s day. “All women” including the men who are invading your spaces and bastardising the struggles you face… 😬🥲🙃

We can’t fight every battle - we have to pick them, so we have the energy for what matters the most, or will be mist effective.

I honestly believe trans nonsense is another concerted effort to push women back into 'our place' à la the extremely sexist ad campaigns after the Second World War.

Every time women gain some ground, some rights, some dignity, there is always something to push us back.

Yep - every time women have gains there are men who find some way to exploit those gains for themselves, in a way which is detrimental to women.

Absolutely.
