Recommendation RequestBoy Meets Amazon- looking for unique Romance novel
Posted January 2, 2023 by Veesdottir in Books

In 2023, I’d like to read a few Romance novels. I don’t hate the genre, but I struggle to find books that I can tolerate. I’ve read a fair amount of LGB romance novels, which can be a nice break from the restrictions found in straight relationships (especially in historic novels), but now I’m looking for something more specific.

Can anyone suggest a book (ideally not YA or fanfiction, but I can be swayed)- written or translated into English with: A) A male lead who is a servant (no under cover agents) – we’re talking butler, grounds keeper, valet, or generally working class man etc… who falls for a woman of a higher social class. No BDSM (lol… it’s a dangerous Google search) and not Lady Chatterley’s lover

And/ Or

B) A strong woman… literally think Brienne of Tarth-ish, who is in a relationship with a man. She should be physically powerful, clever, physical beauty is not required for her, toughness is. He shouldn’t be a comic relief character or a wimp.

C) Since I’ve had no luck finding anything near these two, any romance novels with unique characters and a solid story would be appreciated!

Can we PLEASE have every single TIM in women's spaces replaced by this exact bird?? 🤩

I don't actually mind the bird. At least he's not gonna try to rape me.

Plus! It might be a female bird

True HAHA !

Great. She wants to show her pecker too

that may be the scariest bird I have ever seen and I would still take 100 of them in a girls' bathroom over a single male

Haha I have met that very type of bird. I remember seeing one once in the company of a local (for whom English was not his first language) and saying 'wth was that thing?' He thought long and hard, and then announced, 'chicken.'

It appears to be one of these:

I just googled it and one of the form-filling phrases was 'marabou stork nightmares'.

That bird is beautiful and valid. Seriously.

Marabou storks are known to attack people who don't give them a handout, just like trans dudes!

☹😭 as if I didn't have enough reasons to be terrified of encountering strange birds in the bathroom

Okay, WHO is spreading pictures of me online?!

So by that logic TIMs should be fine in a male bathroom

[Deleted]February 18, 2022

Sooner that strange bird than a TIM.

dragonheartFebruary 18, 2022

Can we employ these birds to peck at TIMs who try to enter women's bathrooms?

kalinaFebruary 18, 2022

I'd rather have that bird in any woman's bathroom than a TIM.

If you ever see a TIM in a bathroom it would be a very good idea to flow the bathroom with other males you, so the TIM can learn not to be a bigot.
