I was torn between two flairs on this, the Biographies and Memoirs flair, and the Comics and Graphic Novels flair. I've recently been enjoying the work of women cartoonists, Lucy Knisley's memoir of her fraught journey to motherhood, Kid Gloves (which I mentioned on another thread), and Tillie Walden's memoir of her years as a mid-rank competitive figure skater and her coming out as a lesbian, Spinning.
I'm in a library queue waiting on Kate Beaton's Ducks: Two years in the oil sands, about her experiences as a new graduate from Cape Breton working in the Alberta oil sands.
What other graphic novels and memoirs would people recommend?
