I am slowly but surely curating a library of books featuring (or written by) amazing women for my daughter.
I am not picky about the genres of the books so much - historical fiction, biography & nonfiction are all fair game. Just that the books highlight the contributions of women throughout history or offer role models for young women.
I have allowed some leniency for male writers when necessary, but only if it is a nonfiction book (such as Goddesses by Joseph Campbell) - It should go without saying that no books written by TIMs will ever be part of the collection.
The going is slow because I vet every book before adding it to this library. My daughter is only 2 but I want her to have a wealth of female role models that I didn't have when I was a kid growing up.
When possible I source hardcover books.
