YA FictionA pro-trans book I read in high school titled Luna
Is this familiar to anyone else?
The main character is a young teen girl with an older brother in high school. The brother dresses as the woman he feels he is at night when everyone is in bed and sometimes during the day when no one is around. Only the main character, his sister, knows his secret.
I enjoyed it and it actually made me more pro-trans for a long time. Looking back however the brother was pretty stereotypical and selfish. He would pull shit like not taking his sister to school before cutting it himself to go shopping as a woman, despite her saying things like, “Please take me to school first, I can’t miss any more days.”
Funny how it was so spot on but still seemed pro-trans.
