This is an amazing series (well, actually two, to be precise) dedicated to early modern European women writers (and a few pro-women men) who wrote in a variety of languages both classical and vernacular, covering a range of genres from letters, memoirs, polemics, to epic poetry and sacred drama. Several volumes, mostly poetry, are bilingual editions, and some of the works were published for the first time since their initial publication or circulation centuries ago.
I've read around half of the 60 titles in the Chicago series, and minor errors (which seem ubiquitous in academic books nowadays) aside, they're absolutely fascinating and I've learned a lot about the lives and thoughts of women in early modern Europe as well as the querelle des femmes.
