Since stuff your kindle day focuses on romance, I thought I'd see what was listed for free books that are f/f... Only to find that there were very few and most involved some kind of weird kink that was very off-putting. So I thought hey, where better to ask for good recs?
I don't often read romance, but I tend to dislike things that are super trope-centric, and while sex scenes are fine I'm looking for something that isn't just written erotica. I'd like something positive rather than tragic, a feel good type of thing.
Thanks in advance!
If by f/f you are referring to women loving women then check out Gerri Hill. Her whole collection is fantastic. Very vanilla, sensual woman on woman love.
Waking Beauty by Dawn K Lake! it's very fairy-tale like, very positive, no sex scenes, with great characters and barely any men.

Sado-mashocism power dynamic. In the book,
I had good luck with Kindle Unlimited, lots of lesbian romances and in the couple of years (during the pandemic basically) I had a subscription I hardly encountered any trans stuff or kink stuff. Well, not that there isn't any, but it's pretty clear from the description most of the time whether a book is going to be erotica all the way through or a story with a couple of sex scenes. There are lots of very prolific authors, too, so if you find one you like you can then read your way through her whole back catalog.
These aren't free, but you might want to see if your library has them. V.G. Lee's books. Esp, Diary of a Provincial Lesbian, The Comedienne, The Woman in Beige. An unusual book-Passing Strange by Ellen Klages.
