"hopes for a future with mixed leagues" So these women on testosterone want the opportunity to beat women who don't take performance enhancing drugs. no thanks. smfh.

RuneOwlMarch 3, 2025

I hate how every way you slice this, the trans in sports issue only ever negatively affects women. Men are not at a disadvantage playing against TIFs. It also affects them very little if TIMs detransition or agree to play in the men’s category. If anything, they’re only going to be less competitive after screwing with their male hormones.

If TIMs are allowed to play against women, they have an unfair physical advantage. If TIFs are allowed to play against women they also have an unfair physical advantage (essentially being extremely roided out women). And it sucks for a detransitioned woman who took testosterone for any amount of time, as she can’t undo it if she previously loved being in sports. She’d get disqualified for performance enhancers—and fairly so, but it would be a ridiculous double standard if that was only against the rules because she’s “cis” now.

I pray for sport bodies to bring back sanity on this issue.

homemadepiesMarch 2, 2025

They're clearly just not trying hard enough.

pennygadgetMarch 3, 2025

If they believed in themselves harder, they would win!!

crodishfuck this earthMarch 3, 2025(Edited March 3, 2025)

I'm going to hell for laughing and I don't care

Isn't it weird how transwomen absolutely wipe the floor with women after transitioning, and transmen don't? Almost like they maintain the same atheletic rates as when they were gasp still their own sex???

(Spoiler: because they are)

RuneOwlMarch 3, 2025

I think it’s good to have more strong examples of this playing out—nothing really drives the point home better. When challenged about TIMs in women’s sports I always like to bring up how the opposite is also a thing, and that it works out exactly how we’d all expect it to.

sylviasmushroomspenis2vaginaaaahMarch 3, 2025

Let’s not forget that if they know they’re competing against women, male athletes usually don’t use their full aggressive strength. It’s like when you’re play-wrestling with your child or your husband or something- someone is holding back to avoid causing serious injury.

With the reasonable assumption that these male athletes maybe didn’t play their absolute hardest because they didn’t want to shatter the bodies of the other players, they STILL got creamed.

vulvapeopleMarch 3, 2025

Given that the TIF team lost 19-0, which is a staggering score in soccer, I suspect the men didn't hold back.

WrongToyMarch 3, 2025

The only exception to this is Tim’s. Since they think they can make us see them as women, they now have the ability to injure us.

sylviasmushroomspenis2vaginaaaahMarch 3, 2025

For sure. They’re not just men, they’re the worst and most misogynistic men.

“It really hurt my feelings when I ran into her and she fell and broke her arm. B*t ch was just doing it for attention and being transphobic. She’s doing so much harm to trans rights and acceptance by wearing that stupid little cast like she’s soooo precious and delicate.”

MaryDyerMarch 2, 2025

They thought that if they called one another “dude”, “bro”, and “guy” enough times it would turn them into real men.

NastasyaFillipovnaMarch 2, 2025

Did they do enough chestbumps? Or was that awkward?

pennygadgetMarch 3, 2025

They can't do chest bumps. It would irritate their mastectomy scars

worried19March 2, 2025

It's sad that there are enough of these women to make up their own team. In Spain, of all places. 20 years ago, they would have all been normal female athletes. I get so depressed thinking about these young women, their futures, and the lives they could have had in a world that didn't make them hate themselves.

HalfMentalAlchemistMarch 3, 2025

Spain was cheating in the Paralympics twenty years ago.

pennygadgetMarch 3, 2025

If these chicks even came close to touching a male athletic record, this trans athlete debate wouldn't be happening.

LillithMarch 3, 2025

You know something though...I wonder of this transman sports thing would be shut down BUT there might be some exceptions made for TIMs to get what they want.

Heads, I win ; tails, you lose.

CattitudeMarch 2, 2025

A result like that in soccer, which is notable for its low scores and always has been, says so much. Hell, England's first World Cup win in 1966 was a 4-2 victory over West Germany.

pennygadgetMarch 3, 2025

For real. I've never seen a soccer score over 10

CuriouslyObviousMarch 3, 2025

Another example of pick me women.... These are actually going to injure and humiliate themselves to be not one of those girls. The real men on the other team were probably laughing behind the scenes... Pathetic. Sad.

...the results of their first match, in which they lost by a devastating score of 19-0, served as a rude awakening.

Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!! 🤣

Welcome to the real world, ladies.

Lipsy•____•March 2, 2025(Edited March 2, 2025)

The perfect streak of articles about this game containing NO information AT ALL about the other team—not even the team name—continues!

pennygadgetMarch 3, 2025

It is suspicious

Lipsy•____•March 3, 2025

It's very weird.

On the other hand, it's also an erasure of a whole team of actual males, with the resulting media coverage 100% focused on the team of females. In other words, it's probably the closest our media have gotten to actually passing the Bechdel test in years😳 so i'll choose to have a good guffaw, raise a glass to it and be done.

(The Bechdel test, BTW, probably deserves to be renamed SMH... i mean, given that Alison Bechdel has "done a Margaret Atwood" and somehow, despite the main message of Her most famous work, managed to go through the looking glass and come out on the other side as a rabid "trans ally".)

CharliXXMarch 3, 2025

Ugh, sad. I thought she was in the "hehe not saying anything about that :)" camp where we all know what they're thinking but they are cowards

LillithMarch 3, 2025

Eww.. why?

Lipsy•____•March 3, 2025

That's the $64,000 question, isn't it...

emptiedriverMarch 4, 2025(Edited March 4, 2025)

it doesn't seem that weird, early in the article it said

> "It’s been tough. Since then, we’ve lost so many matches and by huge margins,” Hugo Martinez, the team’s founder, shared with Bored Panda, explaining that the team’s morale has reached an all-time low in recent weeks.

so it's not like it was specifically about that game. It was about how they debuted with a ridiculous defeat and have continued to lose since then. It went on to talk about their morale, and how they're somehow managing to take it as, well we need better players or, we need to practice more, even though obviously if it was the other way around - you would only need one perfectly ordinary TIM on a team and they'd dominate the game, let alone if you had a whole team of TIMs in a women's league. But a team of TIFs is unable to even score a point or make themselves look respectable.

It wasn't about the men's team or league, and maybe they didn't want to confuse things by making it about that since they're officially past that debate. I imagine it can be confusing for the guys on the other teams, trying to figure out whether to play up to full capacity as if they're actually male, or to let them have a moment now and then and not totally destroy them, but, maybe they don't really care, when you're winning by enough you don't have to really fight for it... It's just whatever teams in the 4th level spanish men's league they've faced so far, presumably they'll face the rest and end up last. And then either go again next year or face facts, not sure how that works - anyone know the rules for spanish football?

CharliXXMarch 3, 2025

Gotta train harder my dudes

EavaMarch 2, 2025

But what about the non binary athletes?! This is so not inclusive.

WatcherattheGatesMarch 2, 2025

"But I know what’s at stake… I want Fénix’s message to reach as far as possible.”

It is--the message is that sex differences are real, and your message is peaking many people.

MatchaMeercatMarch 2, 2025

I guess they need to train harder.

OneStarWolfMarch 2, 2025

Hope all those dumb TIFs that put their safety at risk by playing against grown men had a small peaking over it. But prob not. Gender cult brainwashing is strong.

worried19March 2, 2025

“It’s been tough. Since then, we’ve lost so many matches and by huge margins,” Hugo Martinez, the team’s founder, shared with Bored Panda, explaining that the team’s morale has reached an all-time low in recent weeks. “Still, we refuse to give up. If one of us feels down, the rest will lift him,” he stated. “We’ve received much support and will continue to train, get better, and move forward.”

Judging by this comment, it hasn't sunk in. She seems to think that if they train harder, they'll be able to win against men.

TheDirtyYumejoMarch 3, 2025

I wish I had the same levels of nonsensical confidence she has

LillithMarch 3, 2025(Edited March 3, 2025)

I almost wish they could. If men's toys were broken, the trains train would be forcibly retired.

Metal_detectorMarch 3, 2025

Same

overanddoneMarch 2, 2025

Yeah, no one saw that coming....!

VasilisaMarch 3, 2025

Very distressing to look at those girls and see them all, without breasts, with beards…

butchpleaseMarch 3, 2025

The future is fucking queer! - loses by 19 goals

RiothamusscroteMarch 2, 2025

LOL. Lmao, even.

InfiniteGamesMarch 3, 2025

If this acquaints them with reality, so be it.

HagwitchMarch 2, 2025

Gosh, I wonder why that would be?!

TheDirtyYumejoMarch 3, 2025

Hydrogen bomb (men) vs coughing baby (TIFs)

Here's a question I have -- how the hell is this a "professional" team? That must have a different meaning in Spain than it does here in the US. Can anyone clarify that for me?

RuneOwlMarch 3, 2025

There’s different tiers in the Spanish football league system. The Fenix trans team is in the fifth-tier, which makes them a regional league team.

It’s still considered association football, and they recruit talented players from regionals into the national big leagues. So no, they’re not professional as much as aspiring professionals. In this case, they will be aspiring indefinitely.

hard_headed_womanMarch 2, 2025(Edited March 2, 2025)

LOL. Oh, that's hilarious!

You might get some exterior changes to the body with testosterone and even beef up a bit, but the genes don't lie.

This really needs to get posted over on reddit!

MaryDyerMarch 2, 2025
