YA FictionWarrior Cats and its TRA fandom
warriors is one of the books from my childhood, well, the first arc anyway. i've noticed the fandom had a TRA takeover as time went on, and i've always wondered how the TRA fans dealt with queens.
they don't seem to be trying to cancel the book series over it.
for those who don't know, queen is a rank given to female cats (or she-cats as the books call them) who are expecting or nursing kits.
since the connection between being female and female biology is a cardinal sin, as mother is being erased in favor of "pregnant people" or "birthing people," and queen is obviously a female title, i've wondered if TRA fans tried to get rid of the rank and replace it with something else.
they haven't, although i noticed when i took a peek at the later books' introductions, they stop describing queens as "she-cats expecting or nursing kits," and just list off the queens instead, and the warriors wiki (though it might just be run by fans) uses singular they when talking about queens.
Its face isn't ugly enough.
