Apparently there isn't a place for talking about Austen's books yet, so I thought I'd start something.
What is everyone's opinions on the extreme age differences of some couples in Austens' works?
They make me a bit uncomfortable when I think about them. (To be honest, I usually just try and not think about them, whenever possible.)
Sense and Sensibility is one of my favourites, and it is rather hard to ignore there.
do they not know that we have precise, repeatable methods for detecting new elements?
also do they not realise the 'chart' is bullshit. since when is 'transgender' or 'cisgender' a gender?!?
Where were you in the 2010s when Tumblr scientists isolated the 118 genders?
There are two sexes, and gender is a made up regressive concept not based in science.
I remember some years ago seeing a Kansas version of the Periodic Table that comprised 'Earth, Air, Fire, and Water'. Now that was funny.
