I am not stopping this particular book, but I am rolling my eyes so often. She breaks into the gender-pozzy BS in the first chapter (of course) with a long explanation of why she might use the term "people who menstruate/have periods" which I was like: "Ok. I get it, she wants to sell books and has to cover her ass in that regard."
But then we get to fertility and she waxes philosophic and praises the use of donor eggs and surrogacy.
And half of me is like - I get it. She MAKES money through IVF and fertility treatments, so I can understand why she wants to tout both IVF and egg freezing as AMAZING. But surrogacy?
I have to admit. I expected more from Dr. Sherry. She is a woman and a late-in-life lesbian. I'm not mad, I am just disappointed in her.
That being said she does willingly live/work in LA. So maybe I shouldn't have expected anything.

Oh god. It gets worse. Ross just glosses over husbands demanding sex while women are still recovering from childbirth.
She also glossed over WHY a tween who inserted a bouncy ball into her vagina and lost it and got a subsequent infection from the foreign object. Apparently the girl had taken her sister's 'gangbang' pornography and got the idea from there. Not a peep about a young girl being exposed to violent pornography at all.
