Where do we place her statue?
In front of the courthouse to remind juries, judges, and prosecutors of their responsibility to give rapists real sentences and to instill fear into the tiny number of rapist who ever go to court that consequences exist, if they try to nice-guy-who-made-a-mistake out of paying for their crimes.
Ok but unironically I realized how much I want this.
Like, I want to buy an area of land to convert into a sculpture garden. I want to hire female sculptors to make art for it, and the only requirement is that every sculpture must honor someone (or group of someones) who killed a rapist.
I am surprised by how much I want this. I am not rich enough to do it on a whim but I am ornery enough to spend years saving up to do it.
That woman behind the women’s only art exhibit, maybe someone should entreat her. 😌 There must be some more rich ‘troublemakers’ out there who similarly is sick of society and wants to celebrate women fighting back.
A few in every prison too, as a nice reminder that the victim’s families are still out there, waiting…

Honestly, I'm fucking pissed she served any time. I believe certain classes of offenders cannot be redeemed and trying to rehabilitate is a waste of resources

In a patriarchal world that serves to benefit even the most evil of men, true justice only comes from women. There is a reason that the personification for justice itself is called Lady Justice.

Thank goodness he suffered for several days before succumbing to his burn injuries. He gamed the system but couldn’t escape Justice. I should hope that more child rapists are treated to similar fates if possible, just a dream and a wish.
I wonder if he sat there thinking long and hard about how much he regret doing it. I feel like the only way some people get it through their thick heads to even consider “huh I shouldn’t hurt innocents” is to go through extreme pain themselves. Despite bleeding hearts claiming that “punishment” isn’t a crime deterrent, we all know men are much more careful attacking other men (or that man’s wife/“property”) because they fear retaliation or being confronted the same way.
It sounds like he was beyond remorse, probably didn’t understand enough to regret it even sitting in hospital with his injuries. Better he be taken from the earth so he can’t hurt anyone again.

Thanks. I did read it, but have trouble remembering numbers. 6 years ago would have been the last time this was news. I clicked on the link thinking this was the U.K. Mirror and did not find the publication I was expecting - this is some kind of shock rag, and I guess they recycle stories.
