Spoilers:I like to go the library and just pick a memoir off the shelf, usually by a female author. This was the book I picked this week and I can’t stop thinking about her. To be living your most idealistic life and to have everything ripped away from you so quickly is horrid. The whole time I’m reading, I kept thinking I would just kill myself if I to process that much grief. I googled her to find that she is now married to Fiona Shaw. She seems happy and I think this is a good book for anyone who has lost a child. I don’t have any children but it still left a deep impression on me. Probably one of the best memoirs I’ve read. It came out back in 2013. After reading I unintentionally watched an anime, Suzume, about a tsunami and cried a good bit.
