Recommendation RequestFemale Anti-hero Fantasy Characters
Does anyone know any good fantasy series that have morally grey female characters. I’m looking for a long fantasy series to read. I’m kinda in a fiction book slump and I’m trying to find a new series to get into. When I look on Reddit boards for “morally grey” characters I feel like the books I get recommend just have leads that are overly violent. I get recommended Joe Abercrombie a lot. When I say morally grey I mean they actually have to make difficult moral decisions, that I as the reader have to think about (which makes the book interesting to read). I don’t mean that I want a protagonist that likes to bludgeon people to death with a hammer or something. I don’t want a woman who kills people and has no life in her eyes. I want someone who has a complicated moral code. Does anybody know something like that? I was told to read Best Served Cold. Which is decent, but the “morally grey” character is just kinda violent and otherwise relatable. Also most of the background female characters seem to be prostitutes and mistresses. It’s getting old.
