Who here has read it?
(Link to the free PDF here. If you’re on iPhone/iPad, you can save it to your books by clicking the middle icon at the bottom of Safari that’s used for sharing things, and to to either the Books app or a PDF reader, and it will automatically save the book for you, so you can bookmark pages and highlight text. I’m unsure how to do this on Android; if anyone in the comments can tell us how to do that, please tell us how in the comments; this book is too valuable not to spread access to.)
It’s been a life-changing book for me; possibly the most important book I’ve ever read. I wish I had access to it as a teenager, it would’ve saved me from so much trauma.
I love how at the beginning of it, the (male) author says:
Note: Men of all ages and in all parts of the world are more violent than women. For this reason, the language in this book is mostly gender-specific to men. When it comes to violence, women can proudly relinquish recognition in the language, because here at least, politically correct would be statistically incorrect.
( smug terf sounds )
In my opinion, every woman and teen girl needs to read this book. We need to share both this and Lundy Bancroft’s Why Does He Do That? far and wide. I still don’t understand why men are so evil or hate us so much, but at least I now know so many types of red flags to look out for, as well as types of abusive men.
oh my goodness, I would take a bullet for those angels
I have a yellow idiot who is perpetually freaked out. And 2 tuxies who are a lot smarter than Yellow Idiot.
Orange cats are the best cats! And what's better than one? Two!
Love them orange tabby boys!
In my experience they are either cuddle bunnies to the 10th degree or roaming pirate/mad max road warriors - sometimes within minutes of the same hour.
Belly belly belly 😍
Terrance loves belly rubs! Phillip does to a lesser extent - he’s more aloof but he still doesn’t do like most cats do and WHACK you.
Marmalade boys! Just adorable. How do you get anything done with that much cuteness in your home?
Well we do have a hard time getting stuff done but it has more to do with them constantly begging for food than with their cuteness. We tried everything to keep them off the counters but just gave up when we realized it was futile.
But Mary, they're obviously staaaarving!!!
What cuties! Like last time they remind me of my dear departed Twain. The smartest and most mischievous cat I’ve ever known. I’ve read that the orange tabbies tend to be very smart and make the occasional cat genius. Love to see these guys.
Awww they looks so cute! Mary - did you get the bullying between them to stop? Hope all is well with the kitties!
Aww thank you! I took the advice and really limited the laser pointer use and got an interactive treat dispenser instead. It keeps them occupied but not overstimulated while my parents and I eat our dinner in peace.
