HorrorThe Sloan Men by David Nickle

Stumbled upon a short horror story that perfectly illustrates the process of peaking, while dealing with those that haven't peaked yet. I'm keeping this super vague to avoid spoilers, but I bet most everyone on Ovarit can relate to the main characters' struggles to some extent. It's not a big time investment, and you can read it for free here.

This is really cool! Thank you so much for sharing — I love this kind of gross horror.

I was a little confused on the very last line, does anyone have an explanation for why she said that?

Seems pretty self-evident to me?

She killed the older woman who was trying to save them both and is going to stay with her creepy monster lover/rapist, even though her eyes have been opened to how monstrous he is. She is not deluded about his monstrous nature, aka "in love" anymore, but she still loves him.

Damn, that was chilling!

Hopefully nobody here hates me for the grossness. lol

It's okay, I knew it was horror.

(Strange, though, that a man wrote something so insightful.)
