Recommendation RequestBooks with lesbian characters that aren't filled with queer crap
I love fantasy and I'd really like to find a good fantasy book with a lesbian or bi MC with a female love interest but every time I google recommendations for these types of books, I get 'queer' books. I'll find one that seems interesting, look into it some more, and all the reviews are filled with 'great representation, all the characters are queer, one of the MCs is non binary, the romance is poly, etc'. They never talk about the actual story, just how many queer points it can rack up.
They're also almost always YA, and I'd prefer a book written by and for adults, with an actual story and characters that are actually fleshed out instead of relying on POC WLW PTSD BPD ASD ADD and all the other letters tumblr likes. I said fantasy but I'll take scifi, detective novels, or just plain old adventure too.
