Japanese American Patsy Takemoto Mink, one of the first women of Asian ancestry to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives, was a dogged fighter for Title IX legislation.
Title IX, of course, is the law that prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or educational institution receiving federal funding.
And, there's now a new biography that's been published about her: "Fierce and Fearless: Biography of Patsy Takemoto Mink, First Woman of Color in Congress," written by Judy Tzu-Chun Wu and Gendolyn Mink.
