Has anyone read this yet? It's short and I breezed through it in a few hours. This book doesn't explicitly say men are bad (Jiyoung's husband is portrayed as a "good guy") and doesn't go into detail about the patriarchy or anything, but apparently South Korean women (like K-pop star Irene from Red Velvet) who read this were attacked and criticized...

Feminism truly spooks men.

South Korea has one of the strongest radical feminist movements in the world right now and the women there are clearly rebelling (take off the corset, 4B movement). This book is tame in comparison, very "this is just how things are," but I think it's a great example of an "everywoman" that represents the usual female experience in South Korea.
