and it doesn't work. Looks like something is trying to be clever and expanding the @ to what it thinks is a user account?
It's possible to workaround by using the 'insert link' option in the editor:
https://medium.com/@clsmiley/transwomen-are-women-or-else-a996e4ac02c5
but most people won't know that, and are more likely to think that Medium has censored yet another article.
I think this person is a troll. I went to the Twitter page and in December 24 2021 they said "If trans men are men and trans women are women then pro athletes can use whatever PEDs they want."
