ResolvedCan't WIKI my WIKI - and sidebar link goes somewhere else entirely
Posted May 14, 2021 by endthewoo in Bugs

There is an updated WIKI for o/cancelled. The old one was un-WIKI'ed and the new one is here

https://ovarit.com/o/Cancelled/31173/wiki

BUT it won't stick as a WIKI (even though it has generated a WIKI link)

Also, in the sidebar, the WIKI link takes you to

Thank you for the bug report. Something’s definitely going wrong there. I’ll investigate.

The wiki link feature is broken and the button will be disappearing from the sidebar in the next update. The developer of the open source software that this project is based on is working on a complete rewrite of the sub wikis, but I have no idea when that will be done. In the meantime, you can either make the wiki into a sticky post or add a link to it to your sidebar text. Here's a tip on how to make your wiki link prominent in the sidebar:

View the Wiki

I made the above wiki link look important by putting groups of three underscores above and below it, and starting the line with the link with three "#" characters. If you click the "source" link below this comment you'll see how I did it.

Thanks for the update and the formatting tip for the sidebar, will use that for now

(edit, is there any way to remove the original site-generated wiki button from the sidebar now ?)

With yesterday's update, we took the wiki button off the sidebar.
